No one here in this thread or on this site said that Khashoggi was a US citizen. C.e. was not correcting anyone's errors when putting forth that list. I didn't say anyone said that here. I was making a general point about correcting errors of fact.

You know, I'm actually opposed to gambling and never do it (for one thing, one of my loved ones has a gambling addiction). But I'm highly tempted to make a real wager on this, with actual money on the line. I think Amadan's prediction is dead on. I doubt Iran will get out of this scott-free. I was thinking Mexico or maybe Honduras would pay some penalty for it.

Trump and his administration won't do anything major about this.
Then again, neither will any of the world's governments.

Well, the leader of the free world is halting arms deals to the Saudis:

Yes, now only if the leader of the free world would stop importing ~40% of her natural gas from Russia in retaliation for killing former spies.
Selective morality is a government's specialty.

One really can't make the first statement without the latter.

Wait...you are touting this as an appropriately tough response, c.e.?
I'm not sure we even co-exist in the same universe anymore.

Thanks

Angela Merkel's got a good start.
Would have been swell if the Trump admin hadn't been pussyfooting, pandering and weakly swallowing all the obviously risible nonsense explanations and outright lies coming out of the Saudis since it happened. Too late for that, of course.
Instead, Trump and Pompeo, now that the Saudis are being outed and condemned by the media and other governments, will allow the Saudis to put forward a couple of chumps (who may even, to be fair, have been among the 15, but surely won't be high up in the scheme. They'll get their visas revoked, and if they happen to conveniently be people the Sauds can spare, perhaps they'll barbarically dismember them. We'll celebrate by selling them arms. Huzzah!
