I dunno if it's all that contrarian, though. Lots of people seem to think Epstein was murdered.

Yeah, but Baden goes full tilt. There are no "possibilities" in his take (and some of the people who think Epstein was absolutely murdered are absolutely nutters). He makes it sound like it HAS to be murder. And again, this seems to be his MO across the last decade or so.
I can allow the possibility of murder. Kind of. However, the fact that he wrote a new will just two days prior speaks volumes, imo.

And again, this seems to be his MO across the last decade or so. Fair enough. I'm actually not that familiar w/ this guy, so I can accept that that may be the case. It's definitely interesting (to me at least) to see which aspects of this whole thing are seen as most salient. Personally, I think the biggest issue w/ the conspiracy theories is the large number of people who would likely have to be in on it, especially if the goal was not just to murder someone but to murder someone and make it look like a suicide. That would involve not just the prison staff, but apparently the people examining the cause of death, as well. The fact that Epstein re-wrote his will doesn't actually seem all that telling, IMO. I think it's pretty much common knowledge that pedophiles are often killed in prison by other inmates, so it would've made sense if Epstein figured his days were possibly numbered.

Extreme left believe he was murdered to protect Trump. Extreme right believe he was killed to protect Clinton.
Me? I think he killed himself in a prison that has no safeguards to keep anyone alive and doesn't give a shit.

I think it's pretty much common knowledge that pedophiles are often killed in prison by other inmates, so it would've made sense if Epstein figured his days were possibly numbered. My sense of people like Epstein--filthy rich criminal bastards with no regard for anyone else--is that they assume they're invincible, that they'll always win out in the end...until that moment when they realize that they're not and they won't, then they crash hard. So I don't think Epstein was worried about his days being numbered--and he already had a will, after all--because of other inmates or anyone else, I think he realized he couldn't win out, that he really was going to be stuck in jail, so--vindictive prick that he is--he did as much damage as he could still do to his victims by drafting a new will, then he offed himself. Of course, it's just a theory.
