...and it's 100% justified (the suspension, that is, not the tweet). This was the person who tweeted that Barron would be the country's first "homeschool shooter." I loathe Donald Trump with the fire of 1000 suns - but that kid has done NOTHING wrong. He didn't have a choice in any of this. He certainly doesn't deserve to be bullied by fucking strangers on the internet. So completely disgusted and tired of people in general right now.

Unacceptable.
I hope the kid doesn't know that was said. I hope he doesn't know a lot of things...
I can't even imagine what it's like to be this kid.

They need to leave the goddamn kids alone.
I'm glad the guy was suspended, but it is depressing that anyone even needs to be told that it's not OK to attack children. It seems to be inevitable that some assholes out there will go after the kids. It's a damn shame.
ETA:
The joke isn't even funny -- or accurate. Barron isn't homeschooled. He attends a private school in my neighborhood.

It was a she, for the record. I guess it doesn't matter. Though I have to assume she's neither a mother nor in possession of a maternal bone in her entire skeletal system.

There have always been douchebags like this guy (gal?), unfortunately. They were there for the Obama girls, they were there for the Bush girls, they were there for Amy Carter, and for plenty of other kids from less-powerful politicians in between.
And Christine, I'm not sure what you mean, that you "can't even imagine what it's like to be this kid." Do you mean because there are people saying shit like this, or do you mean because he happens to be Trump's son, or do you mean something else?

Yeah, I guess, basically, being "Trump's son," ever since Trump decided to run for President.
I suppose you will reply that all minor children of Presidential candidates suffer the same.

Nah, I'll reply that supposing he's in sort of special hell because he's Trump's son is, I think, both ridiculous and insulting to him. Think about it. And note that Trump has other children who seemed to have at the very least not grow up to be serial killers.
I'm not saying Barron has necessarily been loving the last year or so--frankly though, I have no idea--but he's a ten year old kid who has been growing up like many other kids with celeb parents. I don't know what there is that is so unimaginable in this regard, specific to him.

Well, Trump's kid is likely to hear more ugly stuff said about his dad than the average celeb's kid. Right now, he's living in an uber liberal city going to school in an uber-uber liberal neighborhood. Trump was booed when he went to vote. People have been demonstrating outside Trump Tower. Surely Barron has noticed all this and heard negative stuff about his dad (and mom).
Not that Angelina Jolie's kids won't hear shit about their parents and get hounded by paparazzi, but a president's kid would get it that much more, and I'd think Trump's kid in particular. Not to mention the security detail following them around. That must suck.
And it won't just be tabloid gossip a president's kid will hear about their parents -- they'll hear prominent, respected people criticize their parent. Think about all the prominent people who spoke against Trump during the election and since -- then imagine you're ten and it's your dad. Imagine millions of people demonstrating against your dad. Again, not something the Jolie-Pitt kids get so much.
I think it is kind of a special hell for a president's kid.
Also, Barron (like Chelsea) willl probably hear all the ugly sexual allegations. I can't imagine hearing stuff like that about my dad.
So I'd think being Trump's kid right now would be kind of a unique experience. I just hope they can shield him from the worst of it.
All that said, recent first kids seem to have turned out quite well, despite living in that fishbowl.

I agree with Cass, and I'll add that Trump's campaign was nasty, by his own words and actions. You've got him making fun of the disabled reporter, calling Miss USA (among others) fat/ugly/whatever, approving of violence during his rallies, not to mention the leaked bus tape.
None of that was someone else saying things about him; that was him, speaking and acting. If his son saw/heard any of those things... how do you explain that to a kid? That's why I said, "I hope he doesn't know a lot of things." This is no ordinary kid-of-a-President, imo. And I'm truly sorry for him for that.

They grew up with Trump as their dad. The larger point: we should just leave the kid alone, from every direction.

If by fine you mean "not serial killers," I agree.

If by fine you mean "not serial killers," I agree. Agreed. They're not serial killers as far as I can tell.
