I just wish to note for the record that it was all delicious, which is fortunate, since I have a lot of leftovers.

Heh. I have to tell a silly story. I had so much sweet and sour cabbage, I decided to pick up another package of sausage (the same kind, or so I thought) to eat with the rest of it.
But as I was cooking the sausage last night, it started to ooze weirdly some kind of white fatty stuff -- definitely had never happened when I'd cooked the sausage before. I was totally grossed out. Though it smelled just fine, I thought something was wrong with it. Since I go on the "it's not worth the risk" theory when it comes to food, I was just about to throw it out -- literally had the pan suspended over the garbage pail -- when I thought to double-check the package.
Turns out I'd bought the variety that was "stuffed with cheese and applewood bacon!" without noticing. The oozy fatty stuff was cheese. It was, for the record, delicious.
