I love Patrick Stewart and I welcome him to our citizenry, but I'm not really sure what it is he thinks he'll be able to accomplish against Trump.

If becoming a citizen is a prerequisite to fighting injustice, then perhaps those inclined to fight injustice should target the worst spots around the globe. Perhaps Stewart could apply for citizenship in North Korea, Pakistan, or Russia...

Yes, but I believe one has to act as an official doorstop and/or towel rack for several years, just to get the forms.

I guess he feels like if he speaks up against Trump, people just dismiss him because he's not an American. And he can't vote against him or against other GOPers in future elections. Of course, Rob is correct, there are countries in worse shape than the US under Trump. I do realize that some people see Trump as the next Hitler, who will try and conquer the world, so they see opposing him as an absolute necessity.
Having said that, who cares!!! We get Captain Picard!
