OMG. He is that guy. Only waaay more vulgar, as the New Yorker piece demonstrates. GOD do I miss dignity.
One thing I really hate, as a NYC resident, is having people refer to this guy as a typical New Yorker. No. No. In gangster movies, maybe. In real life, NYC is emitting a collective silent scream every time this guy opens his mouth.
I...I miss Sean Spicer. Remember when he wore the bunny suit? That was cute. Bring back Spicey and the bunny suit.

By the way, one thing I find just fabulous -- that I can laugh at with some genuine mirth -- the guy refers to himself, in the third person, as "the Mooch."
It's spectacularly ridiculous.

I don't think he's a typical New Yorker, but I've known--still know--guys a lot like him, most of whom work in the financial industry: cocksure salesmen who are loud, who are vulgar and curse routinely, who act like the sun rises and sets at their command. Not good choices for public service, to be sure.

Ok, is that a New York thing? Referring to oneself in the third person? Because SNL used to do a recurring skit with a guy named Jimmy who used to do that. Sorry to generalize, haha, but remember I have to deal with "The Californians"...

Oh, I've known some guys like him too. But they don't all hail from NY, nor is he typical of us as a group. Trump isn't either. They are their own breed.

Isn't the rule that if you talk to a reporter that everything you say is on the record until you both agree that it's off the record? Yep, and Ryan Lizza put it right there in his New Yorker article. Which means, everything is on the record and Lizza is free and clear, Scaramucci looks like a foul-mouthed thug and for late night shows joke writers, this is manna from heaven.

There are so many disturbing things about that interview, but maybe the most disturbing of all is that this guy isn't just taking any old political position -- he's going to be the White House Communications Director.
And he's ignorant of a basic fact that non-journalists like Vince and I knew.
That's just...
just...
yeah.
Also the fact that he wants to kill leakers. And that he made astonishing slurs on people still serving in his own freaking administration. And...
yeah.

Is The Scar ignorant of basic journalism or is he just some swaggering Alpha Male pissing on everything and marking his territory? Or maybe he's a lot more wily and canny and he's firing shots with the blessing of Trump who likes that kind of thing. Either way, Ryan Lizza got one HELL of a story and Scaramucci's post-interview protests lack sincerity and believably.

Oh, I've known some guys like him too. But they don't all hail from NY, nor is he typical of us as a group. Trump isn't either. They are their own breed. For sure. There are plenty down here in South Florida. I agree that supposing he represent's a "typical New Yorker" is nonsense, at the same time though, I don't find him to be crazy. I think I get exactly who and what he is. Not someone I would ever want to be around, and again certainly not a good choice for public service imo, especially not as communications director for the White House. That said, he speaks Trump's language fluently, I think. Too bad he doesn't speak any others...

I say we set Scaramoochface, Trump, and all others like them on their own little island where they can speak their language to their hearts' content without bugging the rest of us.

I read a suggestion today that the Mooch has one job, and one job only--to make Orangeface McBonespur seem normal by comparison. And it's working.
Just kidding.
