Again.... it seems the Google algorithm got some things wrong. There are bugs. They should be fixed. They look to me like bugs, not like Google programmers are maliciously targeting conservative sites.

Again, I believe that could certainly be the case. But again, if it is, shouldn't Google be saying so and be disabling the feature where it is obviously not working properly? Because it's very close to libel, I think. All that's missing is intent, which it seems to me could be inferred if Google fails to take some sort of corrective action in a timely manner.
I bet that if the quick page (or whatever it's called) for Barack Obama has some sort of notation that it was unclear where he was born--because of a bug--the shit would hit the fan and the error would be promptly corrected (which is what should happen, imo).
Also, even if we allow that there are more conservative sites in dire need of fact-checking than there are liberal sites (which again is something that I, personally, would accept), it's tough to argue away the comparisons. I mean, I know the DC is not the home of great journalism (it's also not Russia Today or World Net Daily), but I don't think--as a for instance--Salon is any better than the DC. Yet, Salon is free from the "reviewed claims" tabs. It's an even application so far, and I think asking why that is the case is a valid question.
