Right-wing pastor Rick Joyner posted a video on his Facebook page today in which he declared that he is not worried about rising tensions with North Korea because President Trump “has been conditioned to respond to the anointing” from God, insisting that even if part of America gets hit with a nuclear attack, “we’re going to roll on.”
“I have no fear either way because our destiny as a nation is unfolding,” he said. “Even if we were to suffer a major attack, a huge loss of one of our major cities or something like that that really is possible, we’re going to roll on and we’re going to fulfill our purpose.”

Sigh. So, if one of our major cities gets nuked and millions of people die, don't worry! Because "we're going to roll on."
“I talk to a lot to people who are close to the president and can get words to him, and he is really open to words from the Lord,” Joyner continued. “I think he discerns words from the Lord better than most Christians do. I’ve been in meetings with him where I could feel the anointing on somebody speaking and I’d watch him perk up.”
I can't decide if his claim that he's watched people "perk up" when he "feels the anointing" on them sounds sounds dirty or just absurd. Either way, people who think like this are truly frightening because of the influence they have on others.

Here's his vid:
But he's not the only one claiming that Trump and God are tag-team partners:
It’s so much scarier, though, when the right-wing pastors who represent Trump’s base and continue supporting the President Who Can Do No Wrong say that God wants us to go to nuclear war. That’s what Pastor Robert Jeffress said to the Christian Broadcasting Network‘s David Brody earlier tonight.
“When it comes to how we should deal with evil doers, the Bible, in the book of Romans, is very clear: God has endowed rulers full power to use whatever means necessary — including war — to stop evil. In the case of North Korea, God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong-Un. I’m heartened to see that our president — contrary to what we’ve seen with past administrations who have taken, at best, a sheepish stance toward dictators and oppressors — will not tolerate any threat against the American people. When President Trump draws a red line, he will not erase it, move it, or back away from it. Thank God for a President who is serious about protecting our country.”

Christ on a cracker. I guess none of this ultimately matters anyway, because God is about to judge America with the solar eclipse.
