Good grief, I just saw this right now. I watched the entire performance. I can't believe the lack of judgement that went into the choreography. I mean, it would be bad enough to have a serious performance on ice with the concentration camp uniforms, but to also try to pull off the Life Is Beautiful schtick? With those goofy smiles and weird miming that I couldn't figure out what the heck they were doing? And then more goofy smiles? It was simply awful throughout. *barfs*

They pretty much just took a random sprightly figure-skating routine, slapped on some concentration camp uniforms, and tacked on a couple of gunshots and a sad face at the end. Put them in sequined tights, remove the last five seconds, and you could have called it "My Fair Lady" or "Beauty and the Beast."
I just don't get what they thought they were doing.
