I appreciate you responding here with substance but not snark or insults.
I am at the hospital so can only respond briefly but I would like to say the following:
You all here see a TINY snippet of me, my thoughts, my values, my condemnations, my defenses. (Unlike Sue and Joe in your example above who know each other personally in real life and from great experience.) Therefore I do not agree you can assume my inner thoughts or the extent of my condemning or not condemning Trump or anyone just by what I choose to post here.
There are a lot of factors that go into why I choose to post what I post and when I post here. As I’ve said, sometimes I don’t post because real life intervenes. Sometimes it’s to stimulate a discussion because the best ones happen with differing points of view. Sometimes it’s to set a record straight. The list goes on.
You also don’t know what personal issues I’ve had over the past 2 years my younger daughter being very ill (this is no joke or exsggeration - it was and is frightening,) and my favorite aunt passing, and my dad’s pacemaker failing causing him to be in the icu for a month due to multiple complications. In that respect, given my other responsibilities, I have to pick and choose when and what I post, and what I don’t post. This will not give an accurate reflection of me as a person, I post because I choose to spend my time talking about certain things, at certain times, for many different reasons. And this reasons can change on any given day. Just like you and I assert Ms O-C won for multiple reasons, I’m asserting I post for various multiple reasons. Heck, look at Optimus - if you read only his recent posts, it seems they are slanted particularly against the left. So what? I’m not going to invite him to my political party (well maybe I should 😃) or assume anything about his intentions or values other than take each post for what it is. Because this is a discussion board and I don’t know him as a person.
And that’s the courtesy I give to everyone here.
