It may be pure prejudice on my part, but I see Florida as a state with an older demographic. This is true. Eh... I dunno about that. Fellow Floridians (southeast Floridians, at least) are pretty die hard. Snow, cold, state income taxes, for starters ... literally and figuratively, the grass is arguably greener over here.

"Monkey fuck things up" is a fairly common saying here in SE New Mexico/West Texas. If I recall my geography, Florida is nowhere near SE New Mexico/Texas and when you're a right-wing White Republican taking a shot at a left-wing Black Democrat, there's no sugarcoating the absolute shit Ron DeSantis is shoveling. You might think after Roseanne Barr's monkey meltdown, these Trump-slurpers would know better, but they just can't help themselves. They try to hold their racism in but it bursts out like a fart. Exactly right on both counts. I have zero doubt as to what his intent was when using the phrase. Didn't mean my comment to serve as an excuse at all.

I'm just happy that neither Levine nor Greene won. Those two clowns were running some of the worst commercials, and both were running on nothing but being anti-Trump, even though both had no problem buddying up to Trump in the past.
Of course, the fact that both took decent chunks of votes is exactly why Gillum was able to win. But I hope he does well, as I think he has a lot to offer, works his ass off like nobody's business, and is fundamentally a good person, even though I have a problem with a good chunk of his platform.

Drawing from the same well of mindless talking points, perhaps?
