Oh, I hope Brett Kavanaugh takes this abysmal advice.
Come on, Brett. Would The Federalist give you bad advice?
The norms have been torched. Maybe it all needs to burn to the goddamn ground so we can start again. So hey, why not a lawsuit by a Supreme Court Justice against his accusers? Let's go.
(Psst...because then aaalllllll those people the FBI didn't talk to would give evidence, that's why.)

So how do you celebrate barely jamming through the confirmation of an accused sexual assailant who lied about his blackout drinking?
You misuse the #Metoo hashtag.
You make jokes about beer.
You brag about how solidly partisan a branch of government is that was supposed to be above partisanship.
(I'm old enough to remember when the President and his staff at least pretended they represented more than one quarter of Americans.)
Keep it classy, Republicans.
ETA:
I have to wonder -- do they even begin to fathom how many of us are profoundly upset about this? Have they really convinced themselves it's just a few fringe libs who objected to his confirmation? Do they really think mocking the serious allegations are the way to go?
Jesus.

If there are any positives to come from this polarizing exercise in power and fully transferring the Supreme Court of the United States into the possession of the Republican Party, it's this: THE REPUBLICAN MODERATE IS DEAD AND HAS BEEN FOR YEARS.
$3 million raised for a Democratic challenger who doesn't even exist yet? Maine is not California or Texas and Collins isn't as popular as she was once back home. I have my doubts Susan Rice will actually be running against Collins, though an All-Susan Royal Rumble could be fun.
As long as Collins takes a long walk off a short ledge I don't care. As long as she goes.

This ex-Republican lawmaker agrees, nighttimer (saw it right after reading your post) : Seriously, I do not think those still in the GOP get that it's not just a small handful of people who think this was awful.

That Kellyanne Conway used #metoo to post her victory speech is an outrage. A slap in the face for all women, everywhere. It says everything about what this administration really thinks about women. Is she so dumb she doesn't realize this? Or is she so caught up in her own sense of power that she doesn't care? I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that Kavanaugh was approved. However, I'm infuriated beyond words at this Conway idiot. And that's not an alternate truth!

The Kavanaugh hearings were the final straw for one of my favorite NeverTrump conservatives, Tom Nichols.
To note, Tom has plenty of criticisms of Democrats. But though until now he hadn't forsaken the Republican label, hoping to reform the party from within, he voted for Hillary and has been endorsing voting a straight Democratic ticket in the midterms and until such time as the Republican party sheds itself of Trump.
Though Tom and I disagree on some stuff for sure, we agree, by and large, on the stuff I find most important. Also, he's funny, and he, like me, is repulsed by bare feet on planes and he has a really adorable cat. I highly recommend his book, The Death of Expertise. I've grown quite fond of him on Twitter and I must admit I'm pleased as punch to see him make this move.
A snippet on what made him finally give up on Republicans, and what turned him from supporting Kavanaugh's nomination to opposing it. (I was one of the people arguing with him on Twitter about his initial stance on Kavanaugh.)
ETA:
I just saw that Jennifer Rubin has also left the Republican party. And Rick Wilson just posted to Nichols, "Keep the car running, brother."
A lot of prominent conservative commentators seem to be noisily leaving the Republican party. Those who aren't are doubling down on Trump. It's going to be interesting.

Ugh, we need a viable, rational-centrist third party movement.
