Ok. Trump lost. What he lost, I don't know. But he lost. Pelosi won. Not sure what she won. But she won.
And even though Trump lost and Pelosi won, we'll be right back in this same situation about 3 weeks from now.
Pardon me for not seeing the winner and loser correctly. Outside the common people that is.

I am betting we will not be in this situation three weeks from now.
Here's why:
(1) Trump gained NOTHING from this shutdown but bad press and poll numbers. If he'd gained anything at all that he could claim as a victory, however small, I think he might hep himself up to have another go. (That's why, IMO, it was so important for Dems to hold out -- you don't want Trump to enjoy shutdowns and think they're a good idea.) But he got nothing. Nada. It was a complete, humiliating political loss. I don't think he'll be all that keen to try again. I really don't. I think instead he'll rant about those awful Democrats and their refusal to compromise, and try to work that angle.
(2) Republicans gained nothing from this showdown. This might be the most egg McConnell has ever had on his face, ever. Again, we have to remember that Republicans previously agreed to this same deal. The only reason they did this was Trump. They did it once. They lost. It was a political debacle. McConnell is too smart to do it again. He doesn't even want this goddamn wall, and neither do most of his colleagues.
Remember, it's not like the parties had a ton of huge things to reconcile -- this is the same deal the GOP agreed to more than 35 days ago, before the shutdown.
This is done. And on the plus side, I think both Trump and McConnell are much less likely to try it on again soon -- certainly not for something that McConnell (not Trump) thinks is less than absolutely essential. And I am 150% certain he doesn't feel that way about a wall. I also do not think his loyalty to Trump goes beyond skin deep.
ETA:
And yes, I know Trump and Sarah Sanders are swearing that the shutdown will start again in three weeks if there isn't wall funding. It's bluster. Because what else is he going to do, admit he lost? Even if he means it, I don't see him persuading McConnell to go there again, not for the same damn thing. It's done. In three weeks, Trump will go SQUIRREL! And Ann Coulter will gnash her teeth.
