Ironically enough, the extreme paranoia directed toward one's own allies seems kind of reminiscent of various communist regimes...

Some more from Lin Wood:
And that bit about Roberts is in reference to Wood's claim that Roberts might have played a role in Scalia's death.

Haha, you just gonna let it slide that she just claimed that Epstein is still alive?
She's reached peak lunatic.

Haha, you just gonna let it slide that she just claimed that Epstein is still alive? She's reached peak lunatic. He. Lin Wood is a boy, Sidney Powell is a girl. Go figure. But the Epstein part was why I posted that tweet. I was just explaining what the other part was about, for those unaware. And some of the responses to this lunacy are...well, they're astounding. I saw several that were like "I need to see the evidence for this, but knowing how awesomely smart you are, I'm sure you have that evidence."

I'd just read an article from Twitter on Sidney Powell and other Trump lawyer loonies before posting that, and I guess I still had "she/her" in my head. Lin ain't Sidney, obviously. At least not until she/he/zur transitions.

That story--Trump's actions, really--perfectly my own larger narrative of the Trump Presidency, why he does the things he does.
Simply put, Trump is--as compared to typical politicians--openly corrupt. The key point there is "as compared to other politicians," because I don't mean to suggest that Trump isn't trying to hide his corrupt practices. Rather, I mean to suggest that Trump is straight up corrupt behind closed doors, where other corrupt pols (and that's most of them) know that they still have to disguise their corruption.

Hallmark--yes, that Hallmark--has put its corporate foot down!
Tremble in fear, ye Trump apologists, for ye doom has cometh...

Despite the fact that I find Hawley and Marshall detestable (especially Hawley), they should reject based on principle alone. Once you donate money, it's no longer yours. You have no right to ask for it to be returned, other than a public display of fake virtuousness.
Companies should give more thought to whom they donate money before signing that check. I believe a few other companies declared over the past two days that they were no longer donating to republicans. Here's a novel idea, how about companies stop donating to political candidates PERIOD? I hate to sound like one of those, "there oughta be a law" guys, but really there ought to be a law against direct donations to politicians (or their Super PACs) from corporations. It should be limited to private citizens with the $2000 cap.
