I've re-booked our trip to Universal Studios that I was taking with her last March (I'm watching case numbers, but feel pretty good about going forward with this). So, we're at Universal in Orlando. The hotel--on property--is doing a good job with temp checks and sanitizing and social distancing from what I've seen. The park? Not so much. We went to the park this morning with our one-hour-early passes, ate breakfast walked around Daigon Alley, then headed over to Islands of Adventure for Hogwarts. We got there, saw the crowd, looked at each other, and walked away. Spent a a little more time walking in less crowded areas, but gave up the ghost at around 11 and headed back to the hotel. There were plenty of signs up reminding people to social distance and the like but: a) there were just too many people b) and many of them just weren't respectful at all, flat out ignoring the social distancing while waiting in lines for shows and rides. A shame, but luckily my daughter loves to relax in a hotel room so that's what we're doing the rest of the day.

I hope none of that was surprising to you.

Hope springs eternal. Really, it was the number of guests that bugged me; bad practices by people came as no surprise. But I thought they were restricting numbers in the park way more than they are. The hotel is not crowded at all, so I know it's restricting numbers.

You should spend more time in Jurassic Park. Once the dinos start killing guests, I'm sure it'll feel a lot less crowded.

This is a funny thread:
That icon of conservatism Nate Silver is getting hammered by people on the left because he's not being critical enough of "Floriduh," it would seem. Lol.

Another funny thread: The replies are great. People are calling Whitmer the best governor in the country, are saying the GOP is afraid of her. Lol. How about a Cuomo/Whitmer ticket down the road? Here's the story on her award: abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/gov-whitmer-awarded-courage-jfk-foundation-77491724I guess it's all because of the botched kidnapping plot against her? I don't know. But it seems fairy stupid to recognize her for any sort of pandemdic award, given that she the governor of a State nowhere near the top, as far as Covid response stats go.

Credit to Chait:
The replies to the tweet are telling; the idiot-leftists are furious with him and are still quote certain that Jones is a hero, despite all the evidence to the contrary.
