Floyd was saying "I can't breathe" before losing consciousness, which of course makes it hard not to seem like a re-run of Eric Garner's death. As unbelievable as it may sound, not all countries have incidents like this on a regular basis. How many more times will it happen again?

Yeah, it's pretty fucking disgusting but, much like mass shootings, it just keeps happening and not much ever changes. It's a really sad commentary on American society, tbh.
The fact that bullies, thugs, and racists can literally hurt and kill people with impunity simply because they wear a badge is egregious bullshit. If DAs would grow some balls and start prosecuting these cops for murder (or at least manslaughter), then perhaps this issue would start diminishing significantly.
As of now, though, there's no threat of punishment because they know they'll get away with it 99% of the time. It's state-sanctioned thuggery, state-sanctioned murder.
