www.cbsnews.com/news/george-floyd-death-protests-minneapolis-police-deadly/There are a ton of videos out there of the Target store being looted. And it was not only looted, it was dismantled. There's also a lot of videos of a woman in a wheelchair--apparently trying to stop the looters--who gets beaten, sprayed with a fire extinguisher, etc. But she appears to actually be something of a crisis actor, as there are videos of her walking quite easily and of her trying to stab looters, but only the ones who are black. And I can't help but note the lack of masks and social distancing in the riots (I'm not really joking). Will there be a huge spike in cases and deaths in Minneapolis in the coming weeks? Anyway, this is all getting kinda Hobbesian...

I'll never understand why people seem to think that destroying businesses is in any way an acceptable response to an event totally unrelated to those businesses. If the dude who was shot to death was one of the rioting looters, then I can't muster up much sympathy for him. Maybe that makes me an asshole but *shrug*. If he was an innocent victim, though, then that's a tragedy nearly on par with the thing people were rioting about in the first place.

Tagging race-huckster Shaun "Both of my biological parents are white but I'm black! I swear!" King is a sure sign that a tweet is gonna be hot garbage.

Has the DA tried charging the officers involved in the death of George Floyd? That might help.

Not sure why (other than the politics of the "thin blue line") it takes forever to charge officers for blatant misconduct (especially murder) yet if this had been any non-officer committing the same crime, that person would be immediately arrested and indicted relatively expeditiously.

That's some pretty frivolous journalism, I have to say. A man was murdered on camera, and people are more worried about a pawn shop having a broken window?

Slightly better. But although the ire toward the police is understandable, they (Reason) really let Mike Freeman off the hook, IMO. Freeman made the claim that they had to wait for an investigation before they could arrest Derek Chauvin (who as of now has been arrested, I'm glad to see.) But Freeman's claim is pretty dubious, IMO. Normally, all you really need to make an arrest is probable cause. Since the incident was caught on camera, probable cause was present really from the get-go. If Freeman had acted more quickly, he might've made things a lot easier on the officers who were in charge of policing the aftermath, IMO.

I'm not seeing any of these "protesters" wearing masks or practicing safe social distancing.
Wonder how long it will take the media to start focusing on that?
