That article is paywalled, but I've seen a couple reports on it already.
If dude who started the wall fundraiser (and Bannon) hadn't repeatedly promised that he and everyone else were not getting paid and would "not take a single penny," then it likely wouldn't have ever been a problem. But, paying themselves $100,000 plus $20K/month was really, really stupid.

I just feel bad for Trump, most of all. He tries so hard to surround himself w/ only the best people, and he ends up with people like Bannon, Manafort, Flynn, Cohen, Stone, Papadopoulos, and so on and so forth. Or even worse, he gets stuck w/ grifters in his own cabinet, who end up misusing funds from the public cookie jar, like Tom Price or Scott Pruitt or Ryan Zinke, when all Trump wanted was to have the most upstanding people who would never violate the public trust. The guy just can't catch a break, you know? Sad!

What's the total up to now, 6 or 7 of his close associates charged or convicted of felonies?

Shockingly enough, we already have a thread on the background of this: thecollinegate.boards.net/thread/1407/gofundme-wallIn it, Opti and I both detail how Kolfage was clearly a con artist/grifter/pos. I love that these guys are getting burned down. And I hope all similar fundraising scams--and there are a lot of them, starting with the United Way (imo)--get treated similarly.
