How does this play in? Make him look weak? Make him more sympathetic? (Not to everyone, but a few?) How will the Biden camp respond?
Also, my daughter asked, if Trump were to die b4 the election, does that put Pence at the top of the ticket? Or could the GOP install someone new? What is the official rule here.

1) This should theoretically end the Covid hoax nonsense that's so popular among Trump supporters.
2) But it probably won't if Trump and Melania recover quickly and don't have any serious symptoms (imagine Trump in two weeks, fully recovered, going on and on about how it was barely worse than a cold).
3) Which leads to the conspiracy: he's faking, so he can take hydro-whatever and pronounce himself cured in short order. Because that's a strong grifter move.*
4) But if he ends up in intensive care or worse (I can't imagine Melania not fighting this off), well that might actually shut down the MAGA crowd, because there is no one who can step in for him and do what he does (which is actually both scary and impressive).
* But this is absolutely bullshit; no way would all the necessary people go along with it.

Here's some pure class:
I said it a long time ago: Trump's key power is that he can drag anyone and everyone into the gutter.
