Falling like a house of cards is usually just a trite cliche, but it appears to be very accurate in this case. LP is currently the political equivalent of a mudslide made out of manure.

Steve Schmidt just played the "I was abused by my scout leader" card as, I guess, some sort of weird proof that he would never have associated himself with Weaver if he knew the facts.
What a douchebag. I'd have more respect for him if he just laughed and rode off into the sunset with his bags of cash.

Because I love dunking on Rubin (she's the epitome of what Nietzsche was talking about):

How about this:
As the Church Lady would say, how conveeeeeenient.
I don't believe her, honestly.
But regardless, there are a tone of Lincoln Project fanboys--some commented on her tweet--who are actually arguing that Trump only lost because of the Lincoln Project.

You mention it in the article, but I wanted to add that I really love this quote as it's dead-on accurate: "The Lincoln Project, a liberal Super PAC founded by shlubby white dudes who weren't very good at sports growing up but compensated for that as adults by owning people on Twitter..." Goldberg referring to Schmidt as a "resistance porn hustler" is also a good quip.

Short version: "we're going to undergo some sensitivity training, then we'll get back to being twitter trolls."

Steve Schmidt trolls for young men on twitter:
I really can't think of another explanation. Why did he buy all those PS5s to begin with, if he's gonna sell 'em at cost now and donate the proceeds.

His account obviously got hacked. It's happened to others before, too, where an account with a large following gets hacked and the hacker posts ads selling some product. They're basically trying to make as much money in as short a time as possible by ripping off the person's dumbest followers.
Given that these scams only work on morons and it's Steve Schmidt's followers, the hacker will likely make enough to retire in about an hour.
