All villains see themselves as the real heroes of the story.

Are they going to ban all the people claiming the Earth is flat, the US never went to the moon, or that 9/11 was an inside job?

No, but the part of me that abhors the spread of misinformation and disinformation would be happy if they did get banned. However, in principle, I'm against such things unless the people are violating TOS. Issue with that, of course, is how inconsistent social media companies (especially Twitter) are in enforcing their TOS, with punishments seeming to be motivated more by political ideology rather than actual objectivity and fairness.

Lol, predictably the remaining MAGA crowd is ditching Newsmax because it "censored" Lindell:

Fun read: Congress, in a Five-Hour Hearing, Demands Tech CEOs Censor the Internet Even More AggressivelyLove his characterizations of Zucks and Pichai. I'm getting the feeling that Dorsey realizes he fucked up royally by caving to the the anti-Trump crowd in the build-up to the election. Because now he's figuring out that they won't let him--or Twitter--go back to the way things were. It's almost like governments don't like giving up any controls that they manage to establish, one way or another. Meanwhile, Google is fast becoming the mother of all sell outs. Facebook was already there, but it never had the anti-establishment cache of Google. Anyway, some more: JHCOAPS, we're all so screwed.

That's another reason I hope the courts force Musk to go through with his deal to buy Twitter. I can't tell if he's leveraging the "lots of bots" claims to lower the price or to get out of the deal altogether. Either way, I hope he buys it so that he'll hopefully put an end to censorious shit like what happened to Zerohedge and many other accounts.
