He has a point to some degree, no? Trump says stuff like "the blacks love me." That's a pretty obvious indicator of bigotry.
Yet, maybe some of the people complaining about Trump's bigotry are bigots of a sort, as well. Trump got a lot of support from white working-class people, after all (it's how he won Michigan and Pennsylvania). And while maybe his bigotry played well with some of those folks, it occurs to me that a lot of criticism of these supporters was also pretty bigoted. Case in point, comedian Samantha Bee said the following:
Holy shit, elitist snob much? WTF is wrong with an above ground pool? Not everyone can afford a "cement pond," after all. Many people who get above ground pools save for them over time because they want a pool for their families and could never get an in-ground one without going into debt. Are they awful people because of this?
Also, let me be clear: Businessman Donald Trump was a bigot. Candidate Donald Trump was a bigot. Republican nominee Donald Trump was a bigot. And I can only assume that President Donald Trump will be a bigot.
