www.bbc.com/news/business-55984393Apparently Tesla recently bought 1.5 billion USD worth of Bitcoin, and plans to accept it as payment. What's your opinion on Bitcoin (and cryptocurrency in general)? Good investment?

I think 99% of the people investing in bitcoin don't know exactly what it is they're investing in. And to be fair, that's probably true for a lot of other investments. I think bitcoin is a fine investment, but I think most other cryptocurrencies out there are scams, in one way or another.

I don't understand crypto-currency of "block chaining" or any of that stuff and I'm not sure that I ever will. It always seems to go right over my head.

I think to myself "If I had some bitcoin, how do I use it to pay my electric bill? Or even a happy meal? Until that part is worked out, bitcoin is worthless to me.

Yeah, me too. I think to myself "If I had some bitcoin, how do I use it to pay my electric bill? Or even a happy meal? Until that part is worked out, bitcoin is worthless to me. Understandable, although I guess that's technically true of, say, stock purchases, too. I can't take a stock certificate down to McDonald's and trade it for a Happy Meal. (To be fair, I've never actually tried this, so I'm just speculating here.) But w/ Bitcoin, that may be different in the future. As noted in the article, Tesla may consider accepting Bitcoin as payment at some point, and I suppose others might do the same, as well.
