www.rollcall.com/2021/05/17/crist-bid-for-governor-opens-up-competitive-seat-on-floridas-gulf-coast/Crist has been in elected office almost every year since 1993 (he took a break from politics for a few years to chase ambulances). He's run as a Republican, an Independent, and a Democrat. Issues mean shit to him. He's flipped core positions with ease. Personal life means shit to him; he's twice married and twice divorced. All that matters to him--imo--is keeping his spray-on tan and having political power. So, here's a question: Is it better to have weasels like Crist in office or is better to have people with more consistent views, one way or the other? Oh and fyi, I think his chances of being governor again are about the same as Trump's chances of being President again.

www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/2022-florida-primary-election-resultsFlorida Primary: Crist 59.7% Fried 35.3% Seriously, how is it possible that these two clowns were the best thing the Dems could come up with in Florida? National Dems are gonna fund Crist to the hilt, I am sure. Most of his campaign money will come from California and New York. And it won't matter. He'll lose badly. And rightfully so, imo. People can hate DeSantis, but Crist is just awful, a guy ready to say anything, to take nay position, if it means winning a political race. He cares nothing for Florida or its people, imo.

I can't find the clip of it, but did you see Nikki Fried's embarrassing Zoom talk from the other day? At the end, she opened it up to questions from the press. After a few beats, nobody asked anything so they moved on. Apparently, there weren't any members of the press on the call at all.
Pretty sad when a democrat candidate is so awful that the left-leaning media doesn't even care to cover them.

Fried still got over half a million votes. That should be enough to terrify anyone.

Fried still got over half a million votes. That should be enough to terrify anyone. I suppose "terror" is relative, at least in this case. Sure, she got 534,000 votes, but Crist got nearly twice that many votes. Half a million isn't a lot when you lose by nearly the same amount. If the race had been closer (or close at all), then I would be more inclined to agree with you. Also, given that there are roughly 5 million registered Democrat voters in Florida, it's kind of sad that she was only able to garner support from 1/10th of them. I know people don't come out for the primaries in general, but if Dems want to win anything they're gonna need to get off their asses. Unfortunately (for me, because I'm a democrat), this is par for the course for Dem voters. They talk a big game in the press and on social media but then stay home when it's time to actually vote.
