This guy has it all here if you didn't see it: Here's the full text of the same: wrestletalk.com/news/video-full-text-of-mjf-epic-promo-from-aew-dynamite/It's a legit question to ask whether this was a work (scripted) or a shoot (unscripted and counter to company storylines), though I think it's a glorious work that should vault MJF into new heights of stardom. Niote that MJF no-showed a meet and greet event this last weekend and the talk was that Kahn and the company were furious. Now it looks like that was part of this story. There are also vids out there that show CM Punk and AEW security chasing MJF after his mic was cut and the show went to commercial. This wasn't shown on the broadcast and the broadcast team basically ignored the entire promo--like MJF was never there--when they came back from commercial. This seems like it makes it a shoot, but it's a little too perfect I think. We will see, I guess.

Just now seeing this thread. Yeah, the MJF promo was fire and I'm guessing it's all part of a work (seems to be what all the dirt sheets think, anyway).
But they need to hurry up and act on it ASAP or the interest and excitement generated by that promo will fade. Seems like it kind of already has for the most part. If MJF doesn't show up on Dynamite soon, or maybe the Forbidden Door PPV next week, then this will be a huge blown opportunity for AEW. He quickly became the hottest star in wrestling after that promo but it'll quickly become forgotten if not capitalized on.

Imo, we're in the midst of the deepest and longest work in the history of pro wrestling. It makes the NWO storyline look like a two night event.

The drama with CM Punk and the Young Bucks isn't a work, though. Bucks, Omega, and a handful of others have been suspended from the company (and removed from the Dynamite opening credits). Punk has also been removed from the Dynamite opener but it hasn't been announced yet whether he's been suspended or fired. Either way, he injured himself...again...in his match against Mox and has to have surgery...again...so, he'd have to give up the title anyway.
I think Punk is a narcissistic prick and I hope he does get fired. He doesn't deserve the love he gets from the marks fans or from his hot ass wife (she definitely deserves better). Everything he was bitching like a child about on Sunday was completely invented in his own ego-soaked head. He thinks the Bucks leaked stuff to the media but the major media people (e.g., Meltzer, Alvarez, Sapp, etc.) all said that the leaks did not come from the Bucks or Omega. So, Punk got all irrationally and childishly worked up about complete misinformation. His beef with Hangman is also really stupid and showed what a petulant, constantly butt-hurt crybaby he is.
Not-so-subtle messages were definitely sent to Punk tonight in Jericho's and Mox's promos. I doubt anyone in that locker room ever wants him to come back.
Anyway, I thought MJF's promo to start the show tonight was great. It really showed how over he would be as a baby face and I was a little disappointed when it turned out he was faking (but also hilarious because that totally fits his character).
Jericho said in the scrum Sunday night that MJF will eventually be the biggest baby face in the company whether he likes it or not. I think he's right and MJF should just go ahead and lean into it.

Yeah, Punk is really a punk, after all. I know some of it's real, but at the same time they're smartly adding to the MJF work with the fallout from it all. It's a glorious time to be a wrestling fan. I haven't looked forward to wrestling shows this much since the early days of NWO.
All that said, I'm disappointed with the women's stuff. I think what is a super competitive stable is getting tragically mis-used. Not a Toni Storm fan, either.

Yeah, I was glad to see Penelope Ford on Dynamite last night. Khan has really blown it with the women's division. There's a lot of talent there, most of it home-grown, but for some stupid reason he keeps bringing in people from the outside, like Toni Storm, Athena, an dMMA fighters that nobody cares about (there are two on the roster now).
Toni Storm comes in and she's almost immediately in the championship mix (and has now won it). Athena, who is incredibly boring, comes in and is immediately thrown into a feud with Jade Cargill and gets a shot at the TBS Championship.
But other wrestlers like Penelope Ford and Allie (who are actually really talented wrestlers), who were pushed more in 2019 to 2021, have been relegated to the back of the line, which sucks. Even Abadon has an interesting character and is decent in the ring. I know Ford's been injured but to my knowledge Allie and Abadon have not been. The more home-grown, AEW talent should be getting pushes before bringing in more people from the outside and pushing them like they're big deals even though most (casual) fans have never heard of them.
Instead, Khan seems content on a women's division that boils down to every week's Dynamite just being the same old Thunder Rosa / Britt Baker / Jamie Hayter / Toni Storm / Jade Cargill bullshit. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Honestly, I'd like to see Shida get the belt back and kinda hold it for a long time, as the rest battle for title shots. But yeah, Ford looked good. Don't know why they didn't let her win. It was a non-title match and would have done a lot for her.
