The Sutter and Rahn pieces strike me as opposites, with Rahn taking responsibility and Sutter trying to dodge it.
Millenials are quick to blame the Baby Boomers for the world's ills, including Trump's election. They love to go on about how self-centered and materialistic we are. Never one word about not having to worry about the draft because we marched in the street and got our heads busted in, nothing about the risks we undertook to promote civil rights for blacks, or working rights and abortion rights for women, or the end of ostracization, imprisonment or worse for GLBT people, or the efforts to bring free speech and accountability to college campuses.
It's easy to see the relationship between college kids demanding "safe spaces" and protection from free speech, after Baby Boomers bled and died to protect free speech itself, and support among Baby Boomers for Trump's anti-PC attitudes in the face of Hillary's support for the infantilization of the college campus.
I see children acting like children, pissing away all the gains we worked for as young adults, in an effort to avoid responsibility and foist it off on "authority," reversing everything we worked for. Screw 'em. Give 'em Trump for four years and see how they like a return to the LBJ/Nixon era.
