Thank you - I prefer to read, too.

I just watched it with my husband. Honestly, Trump seems like a very different person than campaign Trump. His demeanor is calm and serious. And the way he answered some of the questions - like when Leslie Stahl asked him about his company and what would happen to it while he's POTUS, and he answered that it just doesn't matter, that it's peanuts compared to the importance of helping America and its people, and how he's not going to take vacations as President because of all the things he needs to get done, he just came across as very sincere to me about his concern and his commitment to the job.
I remain hopeful he will pleasantly surprise us.

I hope that, too. Fervently.

I am crossing every finger.
Anyone else get the sense that now he's won, he has a bit of a "holy crap -- what have I let myself in for?!" feeling?
His showing respect for and saying kind things about Obama was heartening. More of that and less campaign bluster would be a very good start.

Yeah, I think he knows he's in over his head. At least that's a nice change from the last several presidents. Unfortunately, he's getting advice from all the wrong people, IMO.

Yes -- that Breitbart guy, for one. We need less of that.
But realizing the magnitude of the job -- that's a start.

From the interview:
I've been telling people that I thought this would be his position since the day after. Good to know that I apparently had this right.

That part was good; I hope it helps reassure some who are worried on that front. and yeah, I'm not surprised either. I just couldn't see outlawing same sex marriage as one of his priorities.
one of my favorite parts? the wall fence:
I'm picturing a picket fence, whitewashed -- one of those really low ones you see around flower beds sometimes. With a wee, wee "no trespassing" sign.

And an army of garden gnomes, all wearing Make American Great Again baseball caps.
