My, has it been a hundred years days already?
I think this calls for a poll, don't you?

I gave him an F. You knew I would, right? And I selected both that he's bailing on and keeping his promises. Trouble is, he made so gosh darn many of them. And I hated so damn many of them.
That aside, I don't think he's accomplished much outside of getting Gorsuch on the court. He's golfing every weekend, at an exorbitant cost to taxpayers. He's got a zillion empty spots he hasn't even tried to fill. He's embarrassing, he lies constantly, he has the temperament of a spoiled toddler. Also, he has bad hair and his suits fit him funny.

I gave him a D, but mostly because I expect things to get worse, so later on I'll need to adjust the grade accordingly.

I was thinking we could just add F minus, F double minus, etc. You know, like women's sizing, which now goes down to size 000.

I gave him an F. I figure we can always go with a multiplier. He'll easily be 4F before it's all over. OTOH, he's already whining about how tough the job is compared to his old life. I have nightmares he'll quit and we'll end up with Mike " Nehemiah Scudder" Pence.

I think I gave odds in an earlier thread on Trump making it through the whole term, either because of scandal or because he got tired on the work.

I'm currently giving it about a 33.33% chance -- higher if the Democrats pick up a lot of seats in 2018.

I gave him a B, which reflects the fact that despite his inexperience and inelegance, and that the majority of the "media" and half the country are vehemently against him, he has nevertheless chosen an excellent Vice President, put a wonderful Supreme Court justice in place, chosen intelligent and experienced people to his foreign policy team like McMaster, Mattis, and Tillerson who are actually showing some good foreign policy changes, initiating good dialogue with China (Trump gets personal credit for this), being necessarily hard-lined with Syria and North Korea, not kissing up to Putin. I think his tax proposals are necessary and good for the country. I have heard illegal immigration is down 70%, and I'm certainly not going to cry about that. I love the crackdown on sanctuary cities (who the hell do these people think they are?). I love Nikki Hayley's hard line with the UN and the overall work she's done so far as UN ambassador.
Although I don't care for his Twitter, I think it much more important that the stuff I've listed above is happening, and for the Trump administration foreign policy alone, I fail to see how anyone can give him an F.

I think his tax proposals are necessary and good for the country. I have heard illegal immigration is down 70%, and I'm certainly not going to cry about that. Your excellent Vice-President believes in gay conversion therapy. Your wonderful Supreme Court justice is only in place because Senate Republicans hijacked the seat. Your intelligent and experienced foreign policy team is antagonizing and confusing our allies with the mixed signals from McMaster, Mattis, Tillerson which are undercut and undermined by President Pussygrabber. The Trump foreign policy you're swooning over is marked mostly by its goofy incoherence. Or are you as "honored" as Trump is when says he would be by meeting with Kim Jong Un? You and every other Republican would be KILLING Barack Obama had he called a blood-crazed nutcase like Kim Jong Un, "a smart cookie," but Trump does exactly that and you're still giving his foreign policy a "B" because he talks smack to the Syrians even as he slurps strongmen dictators, autocrats and fascists like Marine LePen. Sucking up to Putin, Erdogan, Duerte, Le Pen, and Jong Un. That's the Trump foreign policy you're so proud of and can't believe anyone could give an "F" to? To the contrary. If there were a way to give this moron two "F's," I would.

I'll be adding that option to the next poll, by popular demand (assuming our upcoming war with North Korea hasn't resulted in NYC's nuclear annihilation, in which case one of you folks will have to take over the polling).

Trump's praise for leaders with checkered human rights records is simply continuing a long tradition. The article specifically calls out Henry Kissinger, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, Jimmy Carter, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton -- with circles and arrows and paragraphs on the back. And let's not forget both the Washington Post and the New York Times. "Cultivating authoritarian leaders is everything except a “shift in American foreign policy.""

It kills me that so many people are lured in by Pence. He would make America a Christian theocracy if he could.
ETA: I gave Trump a D because he seems less orange than before.

I think his tax proposals are necessary and good for the country. Which ones? These ones? Or these ones? I have heard illegal immigration is down 70%, and I'm certainly not going to cry about that. I love the crackdown on sanctuary cities (who the hell do these people think they are?) Um. Human beings who are helping other human beings, maybe? Seeing them as human beings, as opposed to illegal immigrants they won't cry over? Although I don't care for his Twitter... You speak as if he is a beloved child with a nose-picking habit. "His Twitter" is evidence of his character, his ignorance, and his narcissism. And that shit is scary.
