Grasping at straws on a river in Egypt

Without making any commentary about this particular election, I will say this:

For a while, in grad school, I did some work with voting machines. My advisor was one of the biggest names in computer security, specializing in electronic voting security.

It is scary. No joke.

I don't know of any evidence that there ever has been widespread election fraud, but security and auditing on voting machines is weak. Laughably weak. Almost non-existent.

A massive plot to rig an election may sound like a ridiculous conspiracy theory, but the fact is, if a well-funded, well-organized group actually concocted a plan to do this... well, it wouldn't be that hard.

Also, aren't these the same people who are always saying that there's no widespread voter fraud so any attempt at voter id laws is just to disenfranchise voters?
