There's a hearing coming up in July, at which point Netanyahu will be indicted or not. If he is, well it's not clear what will happen then.

Looks like Benny Gantz might have a path to become PM over Netanyahu.
As I understand it, this could happen in two ways:
1. If Netanyahu isn't able to form a coalition, then Gantz would himself have an opportunity to form his own coalition.
2. If neither is able to, then Israel would hold yet another election, in which case Gantz could potentially have another chance at forming a coalition.
(In theory, he could simply win outright if there's another election, but that's by far the least likely to happen.)
Not sure what will happen, but it doesn't sound like Netanyahu staying in power is a foregone conclusion, by any stretch.

Good. He's a thug and a criminal. Lock his ass up. Israel, and that entire region, will be much better off without him.

--Netanyahu in 2008, commenting on former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who was being investigated on corruption charges. Gotta love the irony.

Looks like this is the end for Benny Gantz, if nothing else is certain.

Looks like this is the end for Benny Gantz, if nothing else is certain. It'd be nice if the same could be said for Netanyahu.

Yeah, good riddance to that piece of shit, but I'm not sure that Bennett or Lapid will be much better with the situation in the Gaza Strip.
