How would you grade Trump's response to coronavirus?
Mark Levin certainly sounds impressed...

I can't vote because I'm not smart enough to understand any of those options.
But, I think it's been piss-poor and monumentally idiotic.

I can't vote because I'm not smart enough to understand any of those options. Voter disenfranchisement! Yeah, I just think it's pretty hilarious how some people actually think Trump is doing a great job, though. Hence the poll options.

Trump isn't good at his job. He's never been good at his job.
That said, I can't really fault the government's response to all of this too much. I just don't see a clear "if we had only done X" out there, apart from going total isolationist the moment the news hit about an outbreak in China. Even that probably wouldn't have worked, as I think China sat on some info for quite a while.
And honestly, I'm having hard time not seeing a lot of the responses to the outbreak as disproportionate. It's hardly the deadliest virus we've ever seen. And there's a really good chance a ton of people are walking around as carriers, people who show no symptoms whatsoever.
Some of the people criticizing Trump seem to think the proper response here would be a full-on totalitarian one. It's a good thing Trump has never read Alinsky, right?
And the fear-mongering from some is just out of control. The "millions will die" stuff is particularly bad. It really does seem like there is a core group of anti-Trumpers out there who are hoping for maximum deaths and economic ruin, just so they can go "see, told you so!"

Trump isn't good at his job. He's never been good at his job. But he still has plenty of time to turn things around.

Personal Coronavirus update:
I'm writing this while sitting at a table in front of a Pasion Del Cielo (a coffee place, like a Starbucks). They're still open, but don't allow anyone to stay inside, have no communal creams and the like, and have just five outside tables, each more than six feet apart with two chairs to a table. But their employees are still at work, still getting paid. Starbucks is operating similarly, from what I'm told.
My youngest daughter is home--Miami-Dade schools are cancelled--working on her computer. Each of her teachers is giving a lesson online, according to her usual schedule.
My son (19) is in Boston packing up his dorm room, then flying home tomorrow, as his school has switched to online classes--starting next week--for the rest of the semester.
My oldest daughter (22) is literally stuck in Scotland, as she finishes her final semester of college. She's not happy, as her plans to go to Greece and for her boyfriend to come visit have fallen apart. Her graduation ceremonies--which I planned to attend--are up in the air.
My ex-wife--who works for a cruise line--is dealing with unbelievable shit. She has ships stuck at sea in the Pacific, as countries are refusing to allow them to dock, even though they are Coronavirus-free.
Miami in general looks like it does when a hurricane is about to hit, except no one is boarding up their windows and the days are warm and beautiful. The supermarkets were mobbed the past few days, but they're still open for business, still getting deliveries. The panic-buying was stupid and unnecessary in my view.
My spring break plans with my youngest are cancelled. We were going to Universal in Orlando, but it's shut down, just like Disney.

My wife works for a private Catholic school. She got the call last Friday they were closing, going to online. She's there today figuring out how to transition. She worked all weekend on it.
I work for Verizon. I always joked that they would make us come to work even if there were zombies, but lo and behold, they're getting us set up to work from home. I'm going to have to take my PC, monitors, keyboard, and mouse home.
So far, almost all of my calls this morning have been about how to work from home.
To be honest, I feel very unnerved by this.
KISS cancelled their meet and greets and I think their shows. If someone can convince Gene Simmons to cancel stuff that makes him money, this must be serious.
