He should've restricted gatherings to only "several hundred crowded together in a BLM peaceful protest" since those are apparently immune to COVID-19.

C'mon, Rob. That's not really fair. Everybody knows that it only spreads if all of these people had gathered at someone's house or backyard. If they step out onto the street - even though it's the same number of people and the same lack of distancing - then BAM! Automatic immunity.
It's science.

Update: the Dems changed the dinner to grab and go (which seems totally pointless and a waste of money). But how could they not see the optics beforehand? Oh, that's right, we're talking freezer-full-of-expensive-ice-cream-and-I'm-still-getting-my-hair-done-Pelosi here...

Yeah, I still can't figure out why big companies (and anyone, really) kowtow and grovel at the feet of these lunatic activists who don't really represent the best interests of trans people and, even if they did, draw disproportionate attention to issues that only concerns a small percentage of the roughly one half of one percent of the population that trans people comprise.
Whenever a radical trans activist tweets something huge, multi-billion dollar companies jump like scared cats discovering a cucumber on the floor behind them. I just don't get it.

This kinda of activism seems particularly stupid, given that it seems to be largely uniformed activism, is totally reactionary, and is functionally all about stifling speech.
And unsurprisingly--these days, anyway--one has to look to non-traditional media sources to get any sort of in-depth reporting and/or analysis. This is why Joe Rogan is now getting the big bucks...

Lol, pictures of the "outdoor" party Gavin Newsom attended (in defiance of the rules he established for everyone else:

"Rules for thee but not for me" seems to be a consistent philosophy among the progressive left.

Looks to me like some sort of reincarnation of the 18th amendment.
Thinking about turning my back patio into a modern day speakeasy. $$$$$$

Yeah, I know it's Canada, but still: www.vice.com/en/article/g5bv3x/penguin-random-house-staff-confront-publisher-about-new-jordan-peterson-bookObviously, this isn't the government curtailing free speech, it's not even a private entity doing it, especially since the company is moving forward with publishing. But the idea that a general publisher should be concerned about ideology and hurt feelings, as opposed to the bottom line, is not conducive to the general principle of free speech in the least, imo. As far as I know, the book's thesis isn't "let's round up all the coloreds, fags, and trannies, then shoot them in the head." Is it? I seriously wonder if the Harry Potter franchise would have taken off, if Rowling published it today, assuming all of her public statements and tweets had still taken place.
