In the face of a baby formula shortage, ta-da!:
Put her and Rosanna Arquette together and you're halfway to a human being...

I've seen this debate going on, but amazingly most people are aiming their frustration on the right not the left.
It's idiotic as there are many reasons why breastfeeding is not an option. My wife was in labor on and off for a week before giving birth over 2 months before her due date. The drugs they used on her to try and stop the labor meant she couldn't produce breast milk. Someone I know on Twitter mentioned her daughter was hospitalized because of a severe lactose intolerance. There are a whole host of medical reasons why some women can't produce breastmilk. Some mom's work so much that pumping may not work. Some have relied on formula and can't produce now. What about single fathers? Adoptive and foster parents?
The availability of formula (especially for poorer parents) can be the difference between being able to feed or not feed your baby.

Let's not pretend that, in comparison, the supposedly "pRo-LiFe" Republicans are acting with some sort of Christ-like empathy on the topic rather than (the usual) whining that babies locked up in detention centers are getting formula. Apparently, not only should women not be allowed to abort pregancies, they shouldn't be allowed to feed the babies after they're born either (if they're brown, that is). www.buzzfeednews.com/article/salvadorhernandez/republicans-immigrant-babies-formula

Yeah, that was a solid move to completely lose any potential high ground with this issue. "America last" my ass. It's fascinating how adept some professional pols are at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
