I'm not convinced he'll win, let alone "cruise to victory." But IF he wins, then I would completely agree a lot, if not most, of it will have been driven by "batshit crazy fatigue," where people are simply fed up with the insanity of the violent criminals masquerading as "protestors" and the obviously mentally ill behaviour of members of the fringe far left.

We have the prototypical dark triad type in the White House right now, so I'm not making any bets.

Interesting that The Intercept printed that, given that Glen Greenwald posted a puff piece on the dude based on a "30 minute phone interview," and he and Grim (the author) were somewhat defending him on Twitter last week:

Funny how these type of dipshit "protests" happen in areas of the country where gun carry permits aren't common.

Wait, WHAT??? 77 initial positives for Covid-19, and every single one turns out to be a false positive? Those results seem more than a bit statistically unlikely.

Yeah, the whole "voter ID is racist and tantamount to voter suppression" is such a lazy, anti-intellectual, bullshit argument (for all the reasons you listed).

Practically, there's no real difference between them. I have no problem with them because I think that voting should be made easier and more accessible to everyone. Voting in person is incredibly inconvenient for a lot of people, due to scheduling difficulties because of work or school, transportation issues, the fact that we're in a pandemic, etc.
One of the main downsides that I see, though, is that they cannot be quickly tallied as quickly (ha!) as in-person votes.

Residents, of course, have no such right... Nope. Typical "rules for thee but not for me."

What's the total up to now, 6 or 7 of his close associates charged or convicted of felonies?

That article is paywalled, but I've seen a couple reports on it already.
If dude who started the wall fundraiser (and Bannon) hadn't repeatedly promised that he and everyone else were not getting paid and would "not take a single penny," then it likely wouldn't have ever been a problem. But, paying themselves $100,000 plus $20K/month was really, really stupid.

Seems like more real-word evidence for that study from another thread showing that victimhood virtue-signalling is associated with "dark triad" traits (i.e., narcissism, machiavelianism, and psychopathy).

Taibbi still on fire. I saw a story that showed some of the text messages exchanged between Morse and his supposed "victim," as well as messages between the College Dems discussing this, and it's clear it was a set-up from the beginning. The messages from Morse are also rather benign and it's a huuuuge stretch to try to portray them as harassing.
This kind of shit is really sickening but it's what the left has become, unfortunately.
We really need a viable 3rd, if not 4th, party.

Good. One of these days, the uber-woke will hopefully "wake up" to the fact that many of the means by which they pursue their quest to end the world of racism are, themselves, incredibly racist.
One realistic fear that I do have if Trump loses (and, don't it twisted; I definitely want him to lose) is that the Biden administration will seek to dismantle the few good things that the Trump administration did. Namely, their fixing of the denial of rights and due process to students involved in Title IX disputes, and their attempts to end unfair, bigoted shit like this.
The Obama administration's "Dear Colleague" letter nearly a decade ago was one of, if not THE, worst pieces of "road to hell paved with good intentions" bullshit that they did. Biden, stupidly, has supported it in the past and decried attempts at fixing it, so I have little faith he won't stupidly try to roll these fixes back in an effort to appease the wokerazis.
