Mildly curious if the victims were white?
But yeah, taunting the public at large doesn't see to me to be a fruitful tactic. With or without the blessings of the local public authorities.

I've been thinking about how people respond to the threat of Covid-19 and it seems to me that there are some core issues which vary significantly from person to person, when it comes to precautions and policies: 1) The basic issue of health, the importance of protecting people from a potentially fatal virus. 2) The economic costs of precautions, from the individual level to the national level. 3) The issue of freedom with respect to government policy. - Whether or not things like wearing masks can be mandated.
- Whether or not public gatherings can be limited or even allowed.
- Whether or not private activities are subject to government controls (including religious ones).
I am concerned about all of these things, personally, but right now it's the first two that drive my point of view. As I said before, I think there has to be a balance in the response. But it seems to me that the third issue is driving a lot of opinions, above and beyond the first two. And the government--at each level--has been terribly inconsistent in both policy and explanation. Much of that is on Trump's admin, to be sure, but it's not much better at State and local levels. For me, I fall in the number 3 part of your equation.
Whats more of a driving force for me is the whole trust the governments word on anything. After mushroom clouds, mobile weapons labs, bad guys, pee tapes, Russian collusion, don't wear mask, wear any mask as long as it's not an n95, (because n95s work and we need the for a better class of people than you).
Frankly, I don't believe a word coming out of the government or the media's mouth. YMMV.

If Trump had any sense, he would protect his supporters by calling his "rally" a "protest", as protest are much safer.
(Just an observation)

So Vince, I notice you said nothing about the police unions. Are you good with just letting them continue on the way they have been doing?
It's my view that no lasting significant change will be/can be made to the policing system without severely slashing the unions power first.

"Biden: Probably '10 to 15 percent' of Americans 'are just not very good people'" LOL. I mean, he's not wrong. A lot of people are generally just miserable pieces of shit, though I think the % is probably less than 10%. Still, I'd hate to be his campaign spokespersons this week trying to cover up this oopsie (but, at least he's given them plenty of practice in trying to spin his senile ramblings). I wonder if that means that there's bad people on both sides? Trying to remember who else said that, but it's not coming to me.

Somewhere along the line today, I read a piece from what I think a Bernie Bro, where they called Biden "The King of the Black People".
My sick mind chuckled at that.

Taking a 9-year old girl to a protest one knows is likely to turn violent. Stupid. Unbelievably stupid. Breathtakingly stupid. Yeah, and the mace wielder was pretty terrible too, amirite? Or does that just go without saying? I can't tell anymore. Considering that this whole thing as a POLICE BRUTALITY / MURDER situation, using a 9 year old as a human shield against the POLICE at a protest is rather stupid. Police are going to do police stuff, pups need to stay on the porch and let the big dogs fight it out.

"My property is worth more than your life" , and "his life is worth more than your property", is the same as it always was. ((Shrug)) I think the issue is much much bigger than "but Trump!"
That Van Jones clip is a bit closer to the head of the nail

I'm thinking that a whole lot more than 10% of black voters are offended by Bidens remark of being black is as simple of choice as who you chose to vote for... Deplorable.

The real question is, will you vote for kamala Harris?
Personally I won't.

I walked into the bedroom and seen the crazy woman in my house sitting on the bed next to a stack of my T-shirts with a pair of scissors in her hands. I ask what she was doing, she just glared at the closet where we normally keep extra bathroom tissue. I thought it best to just walk over to my local bud tender and do some business, and then on to the park.
I hope her eyes don't stay like that

I broke the coronavirus quarantine to talk to you all. I tried with all my skill to keep 6 feet away from you, but I just couldn't reach my key board from that distance((sad face)).
How do you all do it?

Warren and Biden have supporters? I heard even Hunter Biden is voting for Trump. Impeachable quid pro quo at last?
