Excuse the feeble play on words... Anyway, I've been seen a lot of stories about Kim Jong Un's sister, Kim Yo Jong, and her presence at the Winter Olympics. Two types of stories: ones seemingly fawning over her, and ones highly critical of the former sort. My own take: I think her presence is fine, though I don't think she's doing anything all that impressive or special. The fawning is misplaced, but then so is the criticism, by and large. Yours?

The fawning seems to be mostly because she gave Pence the side eye. Maybe. Who cares? Anything to take a swipe at Trump/Pence is a good thing.
The current regime in NK is horrible. Their people are starving, there are reports of executions in public squares, teen sex slaves and numerous other human rights atrocities.
So call me camp critical.

Wow, something happened to my post during transit. I'll try again.
I for one am happy for a respite from the continual antagonistic nuclear missal war around the corner NK must die war mongering that has saturated the news for the last 20 years or so.
If some "Jong love" leads to a reduction in the saber rattling department, then it's a very good thing.

I'm in camp critical. Her presence is okay, but the fawning has the effect of airbrushing the horrors of her brother's regime.
I don't think it's because of a Pence side-eye, for what it's worth (I say that because Ive heard about the fawning, but not the side-eye). I think it's because she personally doesn't seem as awful as her brother.
