At least he seems aware of his stumbling, maybe that's something? "I'm taking too much time..." he throws that in there after hearing himself.
I agree, it's not funny. It's bad. If he was up against anyone but Trump I'd be truly worried but the fact is, Trump is no more articulate than this. A different kind of babble, perhaps, but it's not like he can eloquently skewer Biden on policy (or any other) issues. I guess he could stand there and mock Biden, but not sure how that'd play.
Overall, I just feel super sad that America will be putting two babblers in a ring, and their respective supporters will be hoping for not much more than coherence. How did it get to this?

Ugh, that's almost disturbing.
"Barely There Biden" is a clever (if not mean-spirited) name, though, that will likely play well with Trump's base if they choose to push it. Works better than "Sleepy Joe."

In overall intelligence, knowledge of policy, ability to articulate a clear vision and plan for America, Trump would lose if he debated a fire-hydrant that was getting peed on by a doberman. But he knows how to stir up his base. What Biden has to lose is if he's seen as being nothing more than a senile old man who has lost his marbles. Trump doesn't have to worry about that as he never had any.

Trump doesn't have to worry about that as he never had any. Agreed. I'm worried that in nationally televised debates, Trump will mop the floor with Biden in terms of performativity, even if he loses miserably in terms of substance. All he'll need to do is mercilessly mock Biden for 2 hours each time. Even if he never puts forth a coherent policy or message, he could wind up painting a clear picture of Biden as a senile old fool who can't keep up. That's one reason I think it was wise of Biden to limit their debates to 3. His handlers will probably need to pump him full of meds and amphetamines before he goes out there to ensure he's as cognitively sharp as possible.

Its pretty much a given that Trump will mop the floor with Biden in terms of debate showmanship. All Trump has to do is get Biden a little flustered and Biden will start stuttering, rambling, and meandering and generally looking confused. In one of the earlier Democratic debates, Castro hit Biden over his memory. While that didn't work out well for Castro, I'm betting it will for Trump.
Despite what the polls are saying now I think the November election is far, far from decided.

I think back to previous elections and the eventual winners. Neither Clinton, Bush, nor Obama--along with their opponents--were as given to gaffes and stupid comments as Trump and Biden. Trump simply lies, insults people, and/or babbles nationalistic crap. Biden, as of late, is not much better. He's having these "senior moments," but that't not all. From "look, fat" to "lying dog-faced pony soldier" to "you ain't black" to talking about training cops to shoot unarmed/armed people in the leg, Biden is saying stupid shit and insulting people, as well.
"He's not as bad as Trump" isn't really a confidence-inspiring slogan.

Wikipedia is truly garbage, as a source for info on politicians currently in the news. Look at the article on Karen Bass: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_BassIt's freaking huge, details all kinds of minor things, and is devoid of criticisms. There's stuff like this: And this: And this: And that's just a small sample. The whole thing is ridiculous.

I can confirm that the policy breakfasts are excellent. I had the Minimum-Wage Muesli, but I heard the Progressive Pancakes are also good.

Seems like a Freudian slip on his part. Based on his past behaviour, I think he likely really does believe that all black people alike and, the ones who don't, well..."they ain't black."

BTW, Biden did his usual Biden thing today where he got angry with a reporter for asking him a legitimate question. Reporter brings up the fact that Trump has challenged Biden's mental fitness and has taken a cognitive test of his own (with hilarious and embarassing results), and then asks Biden it clarify if he's taken a cognitive test. Biden then gets angry, asks the reporter (who is black) if he took a test for cocaine (yeah...no negative stereotype there at all, Biden), and then fumbles over his words at the end like a guy who probably needs to take a cognitive test.

The most hilarious thing to me was the attempt at clarification...
I mean, Biden is just flat out ignorant here, just digging himself into a deeper hole. Doesn't he realize that lots of Black people live in Latin America and the Caribbean? Like, does he think all Black people come from the same village in Nigeria or something?
I probably don't want to know the answer to that, do I?

That really is a striking level of ignorance on Biden's part. Using the same criteria, one would have to allow that the "white" community is super-duper diverse. I mean, there are whites all over the place, from Canada to Argentina, from Iceland to South Africa. Those people are from everywhere!
Seriously, it's like he has no clue what "Latino" even means.

Wow, that cocaine remark is just out of nowhere. And the "come on man" line is just so tiresome. He and Trump should team up for a remake of Grumpy Old Men. Marie Osmond can take Ann Margaret's role.

This clip kinda captures Biden, his performance in interviews, and the follow-up strategy meetings:
