Apropos of nothing, I've been wondering why, when I type posts on my phone, no little "via mobile" shows up, but it seems to do so for yours. Half my posts are done on a phone. Wassup with that?

It didn't happen this time, but sometimes it says I like something from my mobile when I'm at my laptop.

Cuz you're stealth! You haven't been here since mid-November, according to public forum records. (Iz jealous. Wannabe stealth.)

So...I'm guessing you don't want me to post how the "viral" vid of a Muslim man getting "kick off of a Delta airlines flight for speaking arabic because whitey is teh Islamophobe" that is currently being angrily shared by every ultra-lefty Bubble City citizen I know is also a load of horseshit? www.snopes.com/did-delta-eject-passenger-adam-saleh-for-speaking-arabic/

Optimus: I find the term "ultra-lefty Bubble City citizen" offensive to The Collective, politically incorrect, snarky, combative, triggering, not at all in line with the concept that every person deserves a safe space to call their very own, and with just the slightest whiff of bigotry. Nice work!

I said it upthread, but I have to say it again -- why, why, why will people invent stories like this? They do such a disservice to real victims. Because they've learned that governments, our own included, have long been using false flag operations as tools for "the common good" and they want to get in on the act? After all, if politicians can lie, manipulate and even kill for a good cause, it must be okay for private individuals to do it too, amirite?

Yes, if the government didn't sometimes do things, private citizens would never think of doing those things themselves. What an odd perspective from a libertarian.

Between the stories in this thread, the "vote Trump" church fire incident, and a bunch of other phony complaints, we may actually have to shut down the internet permanently.
I'm joking, of course. But with social media/YouTube fame becoming the most critical element of life for a lot of people, we may actually be headed for some sort of tipping point in this regard.

Yeah, I was just reading about the church story today: www.nytimes.com/2016/12/21/us/mississippi-church-fire.htmlBS like this is really harmful. When the stories come out, it automatically feeds into the left's false narrative that every white person in the world is a racist, homophobic bigot. When they turn out to be fake, it automatically feeds into the right's false narrative that everything's fine and that racism doesn't exist.

I have to ask a ? of Cassandra. While I get it's upsetting that someone made up this story, isn't that better than the woman was actually attacked?

Yes, if the government didn't sometimes do things, private citizens would never think of doing those things themselves. What an odd perspective from a libertarian. If government didn't do those things, and then forgive and legitimize them by claiming it's OK to do those things if they are for the common good (and you have the appropriate shiny badge), private citizens would accept that there are things you simply don't do, regardless of the ends, and if you do, you will be punished severely, shiny badge or no. And the next politician planning such an act would think twice as well.
