Regardless of one's opinion on Amazon, this is just too stupid:
It's like he's never been to a large chain store, before. Grocery stores are especially adept at this, with store brands in pretty much every department, from frozen foods to paper goods. And really, Sears was a master of this game, back in the dark ages. Craftsman Tools essentially took over their entire hardware section.

You know who else is really good at this? Target.
Target has various different-named store brands in clothing right next to all of the name brand stuff. Most people probably don't even realize they're buying a Target-made brand.
