Back when George W. Bush ran for President, his selection of a running mate was a big deal for journos, for some reason a bigger deal than for any other Presidential candidate in my memory. And someone, somewhere decided it was critical because Bush "lacked gravitas." Amazingly, these two words were repeated ad nauseam by left-leaning journos and talking heads almost nonstop, as if someone had sent out a memo to them all to use this phrase about Bush as much as possible. And when Bush selected Cheney, the refrain switched to "Cheney brings gravitas." Agian, it was like someone simply sent out a memo that said "okay, now switch to this." Why am I rehashing this? Well, Taibbi launched a lengthy tweet strom called "the twitter files" that show how Hunter Biden laptop story was covered up by people inside twitter because of their politics. It's really not arguable, imo. This pissed off many lefty journos, many of whom criticized Taibbi with same basic phrase: "PR work for the world's/richest person/man." . . . as if someone had sent out a memo to them all to use this phrase . . . like someone simply sent out a memo that said "okay, now switch to this." That's is basically exactly how major media works: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fHfgU8oMSo&ab_channel=DeadspinIts not just the good ole Sinclair group either. Conan O'Brien has been highlighting things like this for years.
