I think going is the right thing to do for former presidents, assuming health allows it. And Hillary is not only spouse of a former president, but Trump's opponent. I think the peaceful transfer of power thing is an important message.
It's another thing for celebrities and such to decline going or performing. I can respect their declining an invitation. Hillary and Bill...I'd get it, but IMO they're making the right call by going.

If they declined to go, they would be called "petulant" and "sore losers" for the rest of their lives.
Also, people have hilariously forgotten than before the election, the Trumps and Clintons were friends. I suspect they still kind of are, though Hillary may take a while to get over it.

(yes, I know that was a completely sexist and obnoxious comment, but it seemed to me to be the best way to express the sentiment, which I do absolutely think is the case)

What would be funny in a sick sort of way is for Hillary to say she couldn't attend for health reasons. It would drive some people nuts.
