(since this seems to be the forum for topics that have no connection whatsoever to current events or politics).
So what is it with companies having alleged tech support help that clearly have no idea what they're doing?
My health insurance comany pays me a dollar a day to get 10,000 steps in. You track your steps via their phone app; they send you an Amazon gift card.
They recently updated the app, and I couldn't get it to sync my steps anymore. I contacted the online tech support and was informed that the update would not work with my phone.
Notwithstanding the tech help's pronouncement, I decided to try uninstalling the insurance company app and reinstalling it...
...and it works perfectly.
I let them know, of course -- lord knows how many other people they misled. But WTF?
