Since so many are so resistant to what's coming out of Mordor on the Potomac these days, I thought a single thread highlighting some of those might be better than a whole raft of threads. So I'll start this one out with one group, Alt National Park Service. Since Trump declared NPS must officially keep their mouth shut, a whole bunch of the employees have banded together and are making their displeasure known unofficially. That group is growing, with employees from new parks joining about every day, according to their Facebook posts. On the one hand, I'm so pleased to see this. On the other, I find it maddening that we now live in a country where "joining the resistance" is a literal statement, rather than a figurative one. And I'll point out that AltNPS is keeping a good sense of humor, although every one of them have placed their careers on the line by doing this... as the following illustrates.  I stand with the resistance. Do you? |

Love the meme. I stand with them. I'm not yet following those sites, but I'll take a look at them.
In other Trump news -- I had the television on this morning, and saw two advertisements for ACA healthcare, reminding people of the January 31 deadline to sign up. I thought Trump put the kibosh on those advertisements (even though they were already paid for and apparently that money would simply be wasted rather than recouped). Did he step away from that position, or is New York giving Trump the finger on this issue? (I hope we give him the finger on a bunch of issues, and I fully expect we will.)

When elected, I intend to empower a blue ribbon panel to study this issue, so I can arrive at a proper decision, one that is firm, yet flexible, broad, yet specific, and above all else is fair to every citizen of this great nation.
