At the risk of being stoned by fellow liberals...I dislike Oprah. She promotes pseudoscience, and (perhaps her greatest sin) she launched Dr. Phil's TV career. I unequivocally do not want her to run for president (not that that would actually happen, but still). But can you imagine her campaign? If I win, you get a new car!! And you get a new car!! And you get a new car!!

Vermin Supreme promised everybody a free pony, and look where that got him. Nowhere.

Yeah, I don't want to be looked at as pro trump, cause he's an ass and all that, but it does seem for all the Love Trumps Hate stuff we heard before hand, all we're hearing is hate and violence from the left these days.

I've seen stories about Nazi symbols and white only being written here and there. I can't help but think about how on AW, if it was something like that against the GOP or Trump, it was always "We don't really know who wrote it."
It's still disturbing, but it seems like the physical violence is going the other way

I hate to say it, but in this particular election, I think we were going to get ugly from some faction or another, whoever won. There was a lot of ugly in this campaign season.
And whoever was doing it, we would also get a lot of people on both sides who'd be appalled by it.
We should all acknowledge it's ugly whoever is doing it. Peaceful protest is fine. But if you're setting fire to things, looting, beating people up, vandalizing -- yeah, you suck and you're wrong by definition. I don't care what party you're in or your cause. Don't go condemning your opponents for such behavior and then defend it when it comes from your own side.

Yeah, I think it was inevitable either way - we've got extremists on both sides, itching for a fight. For once, I'm glad I live in the boonies. I'm not near any city big enough for protesters to give a shit about.

And I live in Manhattan, where the vast majority of people are Democrats, and few of the conservatives supported Trump. I understand there have been protests outside Trump's building, but people aren't attacking each other because, well, they kind of assume you didn't vote Trump.
That's a sad, pathetic reason to feel insulated from craziness -- I 'd much rather have be too civilized to throw rocks -- but there it is.
