So as whacked as I think you guys all are, and the other people at the other online forums where I drop in or lurk, I realized last night that I really have no clue how whacko things in ultra-partisan fringe world can get. You all are...comparatively sane. it hurts me to admit that.
Kidding aside...
Last night, I saw some discussion in the comments section of a political article about how we couldn't trust the country to a falling-down drunk who spent most of her days passed out -- so, yanno, thank god, Hillary lost.
I thought "wait, what the fuck?" I heard the silly health rumors, but this...no one could really believe this bit of ludicrousness, could they?
Only they do. I googled it. You can find a bunch of sleazy alt-right sites talking about how she is far gone in alcoholism, drunk most of the time, has been in and out of rehab, parties all night and sleeps through the day. I refuse to link to them, but if you search, you'll find them. Apparently this was an active rumor during the campaign and is taken as gospel by a certain faction on the right. But somehow, I never heard it until now. I was fucking floored.
Okay. Let me say here and now that I know, for sure, from friends who've worked directly with her, that this rumor is complete whacko bullshit.
I mean, I know there's a lot of bullshit out there. I shouldn't be surprised. And yet I was. Seriously, WTF.
