I think most of us (maybe all) agree that the move to impeach Trump is way premature and currently doomed to fail, regardless of how we feel about Trump.
But what about Jared's security clearance? Democrats introduced amendments aimed to get it revoked; Republicans blocked. www.businessinsider.com/jared-kushner-security-clearance-trump-debbie-wasserman-schultz-2017-7
I have to say -- as much as I don't want Democrats to jump the gun here, (since I believe it will backfire), and I haven't thought through the particular amendments Ms. W-S introduced, I'm not so sure it is jumping the gun to feel uneasy about Jared's security clearance.
Don Jr.'s email alone shows that Jared was happy to listen to an agent with info collected by the Russian government to influence the election. Then we have the fact that Jared had to amend his clearance form three times because of 100 or so meetings with foreign nationals he "forgot," including that one. (How does one forget a meeting like that, concerning getting dirt on an opponent from the Russian government, with a Russian translator present?) And Mueller and co.. certainly have Jared under their microscope.
Seems like enough to question whether Jared should have a security clearance in the meantime. But then, this isn't my area of expertise. I just am finding it troubling.
Amadan, if I'm not mistaken, you have some expertise here, no? what do you think? And what say the rest of you?
