So some of you may know that last year, our family expanded when we took in my daughter's BFF and her 2 younger siblings. It's a long story, but their mom is in Georgia, dad is somewhere. They were living with Dad, about to get evicted. It was a temp thing that has pretty much become full time, and we couldn't be happier. Back story involves growing up in a religious cult, escaping and then the parents falling apart
There are 3 older siblings. 2 daughters and a brother, who have spent time here as well.
My concern is for the daughter not living with us. She's dating a guy who has cheated on her 2x. He's very possessive. They broke up when he went away earlier this summer, so he could hook up as he pleased and it not be cheating. He found out she'd gotten with someone else too, and threatened the guy.
They're back together again, although she's thinking about breaking it off. My wife and her sister who lives here have tried talking to her. My wife thinks I should. I've spoken to the other sister and she says I've often helped her see things differently. Out of all the girls in the family, she's the quietest, and shyest. I think also the one with the lowest self esteem.
I've dealt with women who have been victims of domestic violence before. (Hell, I'm married to one)
I'm pretty decent at this once the subject is broached, but how do I broach it when she hasn't confided in me. I don't want to out her sister or my wife.
She's supposed to come over for dinner tomorrow
