I hate all this war mongering. Really wish they would just stop.
Edit to add; The fifth paragraph makes sense.

Yeah. I was really digging his last paragraph. He left out his six bankruptcies... My guess is his original draft, before the lawyers got there, was scrawled in purple crayon and said: John McCain issued a statement about the president's little message: ETA: I, in turn, shall write to Johnny Mac:

Unfortunately, it is obvious we cannot trust this executive with foreign affairs, particularly as they pertain to Russia.
And the Framers intended Congress as a check on the President. They have not exceeded their powers here.
Yes, I do suspect the views of a more competent president -- or one who wasn't at the center of a rapidly expanding probe involving his sketchy dealings with Russia -- would get more respect and deference. Frankly, though, this president doesn't deserve that and IMO it would be a bad idea to give it to him.
Our very best hope is that the grown-ups in Congress and in the White House contain him as much as possible.

By the way, a scary thought for you all: as freaking insane as the last couple of months have been, this is what it is like when things are relatively calm in the world. Sooner or later, Trump's 3 a.m. moment will come. Imagine 9/11, Katrina, etc., with this president in charge. If I were North Korea, Putin, or any hostile regime, I'd be eying now as a great time to strike.
