The constant crying of "Wolf" is getting tedious. Well, but it may not be crying wolf. We don't eat the same kind of bananas our ancestors did until very recently. That kind was wiped out. If I understand correctly, now all bananas produced globally are pretty much the same kind, and all vulnerable to this disease. (Somewhat of a derail, maybe -- this past spring, summer and fall, my farmer's market and local Whole Foods store have not been so nearly well stocked as usual. Less variety, less abundance, and the quality of certain things (tomatoes, notably) was off. The farmers at the market told me there was too much rain for a lot of crops locally. But judging from the grocery store, I'd guess that farms in a lot of other places were suffering, too.)

I gotta say, I thought this was going to be a thread of Steve Bannon. I don't know why, but I'm oddly relieved.
And I like bananas.
That is all I have to contribute.
