Check out Omar Navarro (@realomarnavarro): twitter.com/RealOmarNavarro?s=09Take a look at his profile. I mean, he's a Roger Stone advisor. Half my tweets criticize Trump or one of his connections, including Stone (the rest relate to cute dogs). He has 92K followers and he's a verified user., so he's not a random bot account. Why the hell would he follow me?

1) He's a Weiner-dog and is trolling for women.
2) Opposition research.
3) He--or whomever is running his account--actually like your tweets.
4) Double bluff.
ETA: Fwiw, Paul Krugman followed me once upon a time. How does that make sense? On any level?

Ha! Did you follow Krugman back?
I follow people with whom I don't always agree. But generally speaking, it's either because I find what they say especially interesting or thought-provoking even if I don't agree, or because they are very important and influential, and as a citizen, I want to know what they are saying.
(or, of course, because I sometimes agree and sometimes disagree -- but that's pretty much everyone.)
I found this odd because I can't imagine I agree with much of anything this guy stands for, based on his twitter feed, and I am not some big twitter user with thousands of followers. And I just can't imagine he'd like anything I have to say except perhaps the cute dog photos I retweet. The neverTrump Republicans are one thing -- I have considerable overlap with and respect for many of them. But the die-hard Trump/Bannon/Stoneites -- yeah, we don't tend to agree on much, and less as time goes on. Except maybe cute dogs.
Anyway. I found it interesting.
ETA.
Hmm. On the other hand, come to think of it, I do sometimes criticize liberals behaving badly or less than honestly. It's possible he saw one of those tweets or replies.
I'm going to pay some attention to his tweets. My initial impression is that he isn't saying anything particularly thought-provoking, but his follow interested me enough that I'll check it out.
I'll admit, I have a knee-jerk reaction to anyone who supports Stone, whom I think is just appalling in every way.
